01Who is responsible for your data
FREEDOM BATHROOMS & MOBILITY LTD (“Freedom Living”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data processed through freedombath.shop. We sell home comfort and safety products worldwide, priced in USD.
Registered address: 8 Norton Road Pelsall, WS3 4AY, England. For any privacy request, contact support@freedombath.shop or call +44 7552574376.
02What we collect
- Order and delivery data: name, email, phone (optional), shipping address (delivery address, city, postal/ZIP code and country) used for order fulfilment and delivery.
- Account and membership data: if you subscribe to a membership, your plan, billing cycle and renewal status.
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details — we never receive or store your full card number.
- Support and enquiry data: the contents of contact and custom-order forms, and any messages you send us.
- Finder inputs: the room, difficulty and living-situation choices you make in the Home Confidence Finder (used to return a product suggestion).
- Technical data: essential cookies and basic server logs needed to run the site securely.
03Where the data comes from
Most data is provided directly by you when you shop, check out, subscribe, use the Finder or contact us. Payment confirmation comes from our payment provider. Delivery status comes from the carrier handling your parcel. We do not buy personal data from third parties.
04Why we use it and our legal bases
- Order fulfilment — to fulfil your order (process payment, ship to your shipping address, handle returns) — performance of a contract.
- To provide support and answer enquiries — legitimate interests and, where relevant, contract.
- To manage memberships and billing — performance of a contract.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
- To follow up on carts and enquiries (re-marketing to people who started but did not finish) — legitimate interests; you can opt out at any time by contacting us.
06International transfers
Because we ship worldwide and use global service providers, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
07How long we keep it
Order and billing records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Support and enquiry data is retained no longer than needed to resolve your request and for related follow-up, and generally no more than 24 months. Finder inputs are used to return your suggestion and are cleared from active caches after they expire.
08How we protect it
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable processors. Payment card data is handled by our PCI-compliant payment provider and does not reach our servers. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
09Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Delete your data (right to erasure), subject to legal retention.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- For California residents: know, delete, correct and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email support@freedombath.shop. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
10Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out mechanism beforehand.
12Automated decisions and children
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. The Home Confidence Finder gives preference-based product suggestions only. Our store is not directed at children: it may not be used by anyone under 13, and 13–17 year olds must have guardian consent to place an order.
13Contact and complaints
Contact us at support@freedombath.shopwith any privacy question. If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
